Hi guys,
that’s good question.
What will happen if you approve these updates and then run manually updater.sh?
Will you get 3.9.3 or the updater will tell you that you’re running the latest version (which in case is 3.9.1)?

… I did run updater.sh and after a reboot got 3.9.1. … So, after the downgrade to 3.9.1. updater.sh is not upgrading back to 3.9.3. Just tried once more to run updater.sh manually, no effect - does not revert back to 3.9.3 …

As I don’t have enabled approvals for updates, I just was “upgraded” from 3.9.3 to 3.9.1:

Thank you for reporting this. We are working on fix. We are sorry for this. There was miss unfortunate error in deployment and nobody noticed.

Thanks @cynerd. Once a fix is made, could you ensure there are clear recovery procedures posted (if we have to do anything manually to recover)

We did a hot fix already. Router should update it self back to 3.9.3 automatically. As on recovery. Only effect should be that you went trough all problems that we had in 3.9.1, so for example the netmetr configuration was probably resetted to factory once again.
Anyway there should be official statement when we roll things around our heads.

Back to 3.9.3 already, but incidents like this does not make my trust in the Turris Team grow :confused:

Downgrade to 3.9.1 too! Nothing broken, without problems. /Basic Omnia config for “non-geeks”./

Just waiting for hotfix. :slight_smile:

Thanks for resolving this promptly, it seems to have worked fine. Even the netmetr configuration stayed untouched after this.

I dismiss upgrade. How to get rid of information about a pending update?
Remove all files in /var/update-state ?

On next updater run the original approval request will be removed. If you are talking about those messages on first Foris page then just cross in right top corner (it’s just a message not really something interactive).

In Foris/Update tab was Approve update from 2018-01-26 16:32:27
List of changes and list of dismiss packets. After that is info like this No package will be installed unless you install the updates above and button Install now. How to remove this info?

That was first part of my answer. Just wait and next updater’s execution should dismiss it.
